How we approach software, what we value, and why it matters.
We believe software should feel effortless to use and reliable to operate. That comes from thoughtful engineering, clear design, and decisions made with the long term in mind. We build products that are meant to last — technically, operationally, and experientially.

We favor simple, well-understood solutions over impressive ones. Readable code, clear communication, and transparent decisions.
We choose approaches that hold up over time, even when they take more thought upfront. The products we build are meant to be maintained, not replaced.
We stay close to the work. The people who design and build a system are the same people who stand behind it.
We take on fewer projects and give each one the attention it requires. Quality comes from focus, not capacity.
We're drawn to problems where software sits at the center of how an organization operates — and where getting it right has lasting impact.
Klarhus was founded on a simple belief: that thoughtful engineering and intentional design can meaningfully improve how people interact with technology. We operate from Ballpark Village in downtown St. Louis and work with organizations across the country — from health systems modernizing patient access to national brands building platforms at scale.
We also acquire and operate small, established software products through Klarhus Foundry — focusing on continuity, maintaining trust with customers, and improving systems carefully over time.
