Today, we're introducing Klarhus Foundry - a program within Klarhus focused on acquiring and operating small software products for the long term.
We've spent years working with software that sits at the center of real organizations. Along the way, we've met founders who've built products that are stable, useful, and relied on every day - but who are ready for a change in ownership or involvement. Klarhus Foundry exists for those situations.
Through Foundry, Klarhus acquires small, established software products and takes on long-term responsibility for operating them. We're not a private equity firm, and we don't work against fixed timelines. We focus on continuity: keeping products dependable, maintaining trust with customers, and improving systems carefully over time.
We typically work with software that already has active users and clear value. Revenue is important, but growth rate matters less than stability and fit. Flat or steady products are often just as compelling as fast-growing ones, especially when the fundamentals are sound.
Founders may choose to step away entirely or remain involved in a limited or ongoing capacity. There's no default arrangement. Roles and expectations are shaped around what best supports the product and the people who rely on it.
After an acquisition, our approach is deliberate. We respect existing customers, pricing, and product direction. We prioritize reliability and maintainability, and we make changes incrementally rather than all at once. The goal is not reinvention, but stewardship.
Klarhus Foundry reflects how we already approach our work: with patience, clear ownership, and a long-term view. If you've built software that's working and are thinking about what comes next, we're open to a conversation.
